A Criminal Raid Action against the Criminal Syndicate Consisting of Mr. Liu and Mr. Yu Involved in Manufacturing and Selling Counterfeit HP Products in Daqing City
In April 2017, JR’s investigators found in Daqing City that Mr. Liu and Mr. Yu manufactured counterfeit HP products and then sold them to others. After mastering the criminal activities, locating the sales address & storefronts and obtaining substantial evidence, on April 24, 2017, JR’s representatives assisted HP to cooperate with the officials from the security administration detachment of Daqing PSB and conducted a criminal raid action against the criminal syndicate.
In this raid action, a total of 134 counterfeit HP toner cartridges, 566 pieces of counterfeit HP toner cartridge packaging boxes, 148 pieces of counterfeit HP toner cartridge security labels, 409 pieces of counterfeit HP toner cartridge bubble bags, 656 pieces of counterfeit HP toner cartridge model labels, 1 glue gun, 2 sealing machines, and 2 inflators were confiscated and sealed.
In one of the target storefronts, our raid team found many transaction records. Through analyzing, JR found that the criminal syndicate consisting of Mr. Liu and Mr. Yu had close cooperation relationship with a supplier who joined the online bidding of the government procurement platform. After producing counterfeit finished HP toner cartridges, the target persons Mr. Liu and Mr. Yu would sell part of the counterfeits to the supplier, and the supplier would then join the bidding of the government procurement and sold the counterfeit HP toner cartridges to the government departments, which had badly damaged the brand image of HP.
