From the end of April, 2015 to the beginning of May, 2015, Upon HP’s authorization, JR associated with in total 22 AIC authorities of Guangzhou City, Shenzhen City, Foshan City, Huizhou City, Zhongshan City and Maoming City, Guangdong Province conducted inspection against 52 booths suspected of selling CF HP consumables or pretending to be HP authorized partner. Through the inspection, it was found that 42 booths were engaged in selling CFs and in total 173 units of CF HP toner cartridges and ink cartridges, as well as numerous packaging materials were seized in the scene. In addition, the signboards of the pretend-to-be HP authorized partners were removed.

 The massive and concentrated investigation and punishment against the booths selling CF HP products and pretending to be HP authorized partners in the six cities, effectively cleaned the consumable market of Guangdong Province, purified the market environment and protected the interests of the consumers. In the mean time, the raid action conveyed to the merchants HP’s resolute attitude of conducting raid action against any counterfeiting that violated HP’s intellectual property rights. 

 It is reported that the CF HP toner cartridges not only can’t reach the expectant effect, also they may cause damage to the office equipments, such as the printers and copiers. Besides, the CF HP toner cartridges have potential risks in heavy metal content and carcinogenic ingredients. Therefore, the consumers should be cautious when purchasing consumables. The identification of the consumables can be conducted from checking the security label, scanning QR code in the APP or verifying the new security label, etc. In the mean time, the invoice should be carefully kept, as when in dispute, it can be used as the proof to safeguard the legal rights.
